Did a food shop with my sister, took one basket round and then self checked out with my stuff first, no problems with surprising items or extra weight etc. as I wasn’t stealing anything. packed everything into my handbag then waited for my sister to scan her bits. The guy standing watching us the whole time asked to see inside my sisters bag before she even started scanning anything, then he waited until she was nearly done and asked if I had a receipt for my stuff, which is annoying because he was standing there the whole time and could see what we were doing anyway,I didn’t want to show my receipt to him as I bought private medical supplies for women, and the till didn’t flag me up in any way, but I was forced to be embarrassed and hand it over, his older colleague came over to inspect me too because I took a long time to find the receipt amongst the shopping. If he was actually doing his job properly he would have seen I’m not trying to steal, just trying to cover my private items! The whole reason I went to self checkout was for privacy, and they had to cause a scene and stress me out and embarrass me over nothing.Don’t come here if you don’t want everyone to know your private needs.

Very good all round products. Fairly priced with good offers. Clothes are excellent quality for money and a wide range of stationary items too. Cards are above average for a super market. There is a very handy post box inside the main doors and cash machines on left of main doors outside the store.Staff are always helpful and friendly and always someone to show you to a till with the shortest queue, and are quick to open other checkouts when needed. Also helpful at self checkout's.UPDATE! --This store now has an excellent children's cloths department for babies upwards. It has recently undergone a rehash upstairs and well worth a visit if you haven't already done so.

TERRIBLE!! Ordered delivery from here, ordered chicken nuggets and chicken popcorn etc. It was all substituted...for strips of chicken breast. Are you having a laugh? Why in the hell would that even make any sense?? Both are chicken but there’s a clear difference. VERY disappointed. Do not recommend as this isn’t even the first time that this has happened to me.

Do not order groceries via Uber eats from this store. They turned (yes, SEVEN!) drivers away because the order wasn’t there to be collected. It was meant to arrive by . and an hour and a half later they were still turning away drivers. Uber tried to call them and they didn’t answer the phone. I then called Asda and they told me to phone Uber Eats. First and last time I use this service. Absolutely terrible.
